Don't have time to make a complete garment? Or just want to keep your hands busy doing something simple?

Why not knit squares for us to sew up into a blanket to keep someone warm? They are simple and can be knitted up in any pattern that suits you. Garter stitch (every row knit) squares look great. Knit as few or as many as you like and send them to us and we will sew them together! Remember, every little bit counts! PATTERN 1:

Cast on 35 stitches

Knit or pattern for 48 rows

Cast off

You can use any pattern you like or just knit every row, knit as many as you like and send them to us and we will sew them up into a blanket to keep someone warm this winter.

PATTERN 2:

Cast on 2 stitches.
1st row - Knit 2.
Next row - Make 1, Knit to end of row.
Repeat this row until side edge of knitting measures required length (eg 8inch, 10inch etc)
Next row - Knit 1, Slip 1, P.S.S.O, Knit to end of row.
Repeat this row until only two stitches remain.
Knit 2 together.
 
(Make 1 = knit into front of stitch, then knit into back of stitch)
