I hope you all had a Merry Xmas and will have an excellent New Year!!

Boy don't things get hectic at Xmas time? I thought I was organized but when it came down to it I had so many little things left to do plus a load of items to get to the different organizations in time for Xmas. I was really happy with the amount of toys we managed to donate knowing that some children will now get something under the tree because of the efforts of our members.

We managed to donate 2,866 items in 2009 which I think is excellent. It was our first year and we are still getting ourselves known but our members are such hard workers we came up with a magnificent amount.  Remember it does not matter if it is 1 item or 100 items you make for us, each and every item makes a difference to someone.

I have set a group goal for 2010. I hope we can donate 3,500 items in 2010. Our group is growing steadily so I think this is a very realistic goal to achieve. We have a lot of organizations that are in desperate need of what we create and I am hoping to expand next year to include some of them. I really hate to say no when I hear of the need in the community and all over Australia but I also know we can only do so much.

I am considering changing the photo albums from how they are now. I am thinking about having a photo album for each person that donates items with pictures of the items they donate. What do you think? Individual albums or keep them as they are?  You can leave a note in the Guestbook. It is really easy to do.
